We’re finally at sea and living on a “floating city!” It’s so cool out here. All we see is the blue water and clear sky!
We only get 2 hours of internet for free.. so won’t be updating much until we are at port and on land!
We started classes today!

We started off from Cali… got on a plane Tuesday night (6/14) and stopped in Newark, New Jersey for our connecting flight to Nassau, Bahamas. Our flight was delayed because of a bad storm, so we landed right when our connecting flight left for the Bahama :(. And then the start of the long process in trying to change our flight. And that’s how Elaine and Ling Ling met Maury. That’s how MEL formed! We hate United.. seriously. never taking that again.. it took us forever and forever to change the flight because we keep getting different information from different people. After 3 hours of waiting, we finally had our flight rescheduled for the Bahamas with another connecting flight at Atlanta, Georgia. Worst of all, our full day at the Bahamas was gone :’(. We arrived past 8pm in the Bahamas and was welcomed with the intense humidity and heat! Thank goodness, we made it after spending 24 hours of traveling from Cali to the Bahamas.
This is Maury Speaking: Oh my goodness I almost thought I wasn’t meant to get to the Bahamas!! Our flight from San Fran got in late. We all tried getting our new flight and that took a while. Finally, we got our new flight with a different airline. We all go to the new airline to check in, etc. E and L’s stuff goes through ,but M( me) is left hanging. I had to run back and forth between airlines for……FOUR HOURS…. until finally my ticket cleared and they found me in the system. Thank GOd that E and L watched my stuff as I ran back and forth between terminals. They waited there by the desk. They didn’t even browse through the shops. You guys are awesome!!! Anywho, after all that chaos we finally got to the Bahamas. :) The Bahamas is so beautiful!!! The water is so clear you can see the fishes in it! I swam with the fishes today!!! :) Its bittersweet leaving the Bahamas. We’re finally getting on the boat. lol.
Curt Vernon is officially my favorite black guy in Newark, NJ. Look him up when you go there.. he works for Delta.
